    Thanks Levi

Hopefully Hanna gives y’all a lot of info to study. Luckily it didn’t organize a day earlier. Could have been much worse.

thanks so much for your info daily. Since weatherundergound is no longer a source for information during hurricane season, I have felt blind, even though local news keeps you aware, I crave the ins and outs and future workings of each storm. I have watched you grown thru the years in the weather community and appreciate so much your concise and understandable explanations. Look forward to many more years as knowledge calms nerves better than anything.

    Hey Levi,

Really enjoy your weather commentary and site as my go to weather forecast.

Live on south side of Kauai, and wondering which model Douglas seems closest to as they really vary in terms of wind impacts. European brings it closer to direct hit, so more wind, GFS keeps it a little more to north, with significantly less wind impacts.

    Thanks!!

    Doug

On the north shore of Maui, eagerly awaiting your Sunday update. Thanks for the great information!

  • ren says:

Tropical rains are flooding New Orleans.

    • Jake says:

They have been hit hard the last few days.
Nothing too serious as of right now. The entire toe of the boot is under Flood watch though.

      • ren says:

The North Jet Stream traps tropical moisture in the US South. It portends heavy thunderstorms.

I have quietly been enjoying your knowledge of hurricanes and your ability to share your data in a clear and understandable format. I have worked on the water in the Northeast over 50 years and have had to babysit boats during every hurricane. How the storms evolve continues to engage my interest and you answer many questions that others leave out. Just wanted to say thank you and please keep up this important service. I tell all my friends about your great site.

    Sincerely, Paul Quintal
