    Merci beaucoup

Thank you, Levi. As always full of detail, yet well explained, even for us laymen. So much easier to not panic when the info is clear and there is no hype.

    Thanks, Levi. Great presentation

Hi, Levi! First-time commenter, longtime viewer. First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your videos and information/website. Honestly, I have learned more from your discussions than I did in my tropical meteorology class in college!
I really appreciate it, and look forward to learning more from your videos in the future. You, Philippe Papin, and the NHC staff are essentially the three sources I get my tropical meteorology news/discussions from, and the only ones I really TRUST. Keep up the good work, dude!

There is a change in circulation. The high in the Atlantic will move closer to Florida.

    • ren says:

      Sorry.
Stationary low over the Gulf of Mexico brings severe thunderstorms to the southeast coast of the US.

  • Ashley Windham says:

You are a great help to me since I live near the Gulf coast. I’ve always been obsessed with weathe and and love to hear ALL of the factors that go into your storm analyses. Just wanted to say “thanks.”

  • Lisa OIvanki says:

Levi, every hurricane season I steer people to your blog and website. You have a great way of explaining the influences on tropical systems in a way that most lay people can understand. You don’t hawk all the gazillion models that many people do not understand.

You also don’t exaggerate the conditions like so many local forecasts and other online weather websites do. I live in Louisiana and already the local stations are showing tracks and predicting 2 hurricanes in the Gulf. For those of us who have been through Camille, Katrina, Rita, Gustav, etc., overhyping conditions just makes one’s blood pressure go up. Just from watching your video, I know that there are so many things which have either come together or get out of the way for either system to really develop. That hasn’t happened yet and, from what you have shared over the past two days, may not happen at all.

Thanks for keeping us informed so well. I look forward to it every year.

Levi, Thank you for all your informative updates throughout the years! All are much appreciated, no drama just facts, WOW! Love & Light SAM

Anybody know where the comment section moved to on wunderground/cat6? Thanks! Thanks Levi!

    • Tammy Clayton says:

I’m so upset. Cat6 blog quits when 2 storms approaching! I like the up to minute comments.

      • Jennifer says:

Really? I thought the comment section was moved somewhere and I missed it. I can remember it going when there were multiple storms out there. It was up earlier this year.

  • Frank D says:

Thank you for all the great work over the years.
I always look forward to your coverage of the tropical weather events this time a year.
Hoping for a video tonight, as I am heading down to FL this weekend, to help family members …
Crossing fingers it will not be a major event.
Anyhow, always looking forward to your analysis!

  • BeachFoxx says:

Thank you Levi – looks like my next few days are going to get interesting. 2020 just keeps on giving.

  • Marta Rosas Gomez says:

At what time will Levi gives his analysis on DT 13 today?

    • Ken S says:

Probably after the analysis of the 00Z model runs. And I’m looking forward to the 06Z runs that should have data ingested from the current investigation flight.

  • Stu says:

Hey Levi. Doesn’t the set up and track for TD 13 remind you of Harvey? Remember his it languished for days over the Yucatán before exploding in the Gulf?

  • Mike says:

I’d put a TropicalTidbits bumper sticker on my rinky-dink weather station for free.

  • Sara Simkowitz says:

I am a first time poster. My brother and I are avid amateur meteorologists. My brother is much more knowledgeable than I however. He steered me to your site. Very thankful. Thank you for all your information. He and I both grew up in Miami Beach. So hurricanes are in our blood.
